Policy on Health, Safety & Environment.
Safety and environment are the big national and international concerns of Policy on Health, Safety & Environment.our time and they will remain so for the future. It is the policy of the Company that, in all activities, the highest priority will be given to the need to protect the health and safety of its employees and other persons working in and around its vessels and to conserve environment. Safety and conservation involve the same sort of awareness and must be systematically and repeatedly instilled at every level or our operations so that this awareness becomes an unquestioned reflex for everyone.

The Company’s policy aims to eliminate work-related injuries and illness to its personnel and damage to the environment by establishing comprehensive working practices and procedures for every shipboard operation and foreseeable contingency. This is the essence of the Safety Management System. There is nothing inevitable about accidents – they occur only in an uncontrolled or uncontrollable working environment. The objective of these procedures is to control the working environment to the maximum extent possible, and to anticipate contingencies, so that nothing occurs haphazardly or unintentionally or through oversight – and so that, if despite such procedures, a n accident does occur, the consequences can be rapidly mitigated to avoid further injury or loss.

The Company requires observance of all applicable laws, codes and appropriate guidelines. Verified adherence to these, and to Company procedures is a discipline – sometimes tedious, sometimes costly, sometimes time consuming and sometimes seemingly pointless-but it remains indispensable and obligatory because every requirement has a rationale even if not obvious. The company will provide the resources, equipment, training and facilities to support these procedures. But, in the final analysis, it is the personal commitment of everyone, on shore and at sea, that is essential if we are to be effective in achieving this objective. We expect and encourage everyone to share this commitment and actively work towards its fullest realisation.
